Cloudflare and VoidZero Open-Source Vite-First Full-Stack Deployment Toolchain

VoidZero's toolchain — Vite, Vitest, Oxc and Rolldown, bundled together as Vite+ — made frontend builds faster, but shipping a full-stack application still means stitching together server routes, a database, a local dev environment and a deployment target. Cloudflare and VoidZero have now open-sourced three products that fold those pieces into one Vite workflow, distributed as a single JavaScript package and Vite plugin.

The concrete pieces:

  • Void Platform — a shared deployment platform where teams host Void apps on Cloudflare's network.
  • Void SDK — a composable JavaScript SDK for building full-stack apps with Vite, letting you build server and client together and carry types from the database up to the UI.
  • Void CLI — a command-line tool that provisions the resources an app needs and deploys it to Cloudflare; it deploys apps built with the SDK onto the Platform.
  • One install — all three ship as a single package and Vite plugin, available via npm install void.
  • Automatic provisioning — Void provisions the Cloudflare resources your app uses rather than requiring manual setup.

The project reportedly began as an attempt to build a single private platform for all users to deploy apps, and was reshaped into the open-source release above.

For developers, the interesting shift is consolidation: instead of assembling a router, a type-safe data layer and a deploy pipeline by hand, the toolchain assumes Vite as the entry point and treats Cloudflare as the default runtime. Types flowing from database schema to UI components removes a whole class of client/server drift bugs, while CLI-driven provisioning lowers the barrier to getting a working preview online. Teams already invested in Vite+ get that path without abandoning their existing build tooling.
